FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is a next-generation platform specification developed by HL7 for healthcare data interoperability.
With the healthcare industry rapidly adopting the FHIR standard, Innovaccer is future-ready with InAPI modelled over the FHIR standards for true interoperability. FHIR not only supports extremely common interoperability challenges but, because of its design as a platform specification, and many of FHIR’s interesting features, FHIR opens the door to entirely new, modern, flexible and adaptive sets of healthcare product solution designs.
Innovaccer’s InAPI leverages existing logical and theoretical models to provide a consistent, easy to implement, and rigorous mechanism for exchanging data between healthcare applications, supporting 26 FHIR resources. The extensibility feature of FHIR has been used to introduce extensions in the resources to support additional use-cases.
